How It Works: Internet of Things
Internet of Things (IoT) is a set of technologies working together to have connected network and view of objects. There is not yet a clear definition of the scope of IoT, the concept and technology are still evolving. One workable view is that IoT is the network of physical devices, home appliances etc embedded with technologies such as software, sensors and network connectivity, these technologies then enables the objects to connect and communicate with each other.
Many big companies such as google, Microsoft, Amazon and IBM have already been building the IoT platforms and are offering services like device data capture, data analytics, machine learning and provide insights to assist businesses. So how the Internet of Things works? Check out the
