Used Bear for some of the writing tasks, it is simple and elegant, easy to use. I love the simplicity of the app, tagging, linking, formatting, and organization are intuitive. It may be a little less powerful but does everything I need to do and cost less than other heavily featured apps.

This free video player is best I found. I used to install a few other players, everyone of those had annoying ads pop up frequently, I had to uninstall it when I didn't use it, and re-install when I needed to watch video. This is no longer the case after I found VLC.
