Netflix now offers video games

Netflix is now offering video games. It has moved beyond TV shows and films, and started in launching Netflix games on mobile. As per Netflix, from November, members everywhere can play five mobile games: Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP), Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP), Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop), Card Blast (Amuzo & Rogue Games), and Teeter Up (Frosty Pop).

Your Netflix subscription is all you need, no additional fees and no in-app purchases. The mobile games are available on both Android and iOS devices. Members will be able to play games on multiple mobile devices on the same account.

According to Statista, a German company specializing in market and consumer data, in 2020, the digital media revenue for video games was $134b, video and music was only about $71b and $21b respectively.  This explains the reason Netfilx’s venture into games segment for bigger growth.
